Assistant Lecturer in Dietetics

Role Overview
The School of Biological and Health Sciences is seeking to appoint an Assistant Lecturer in Dietetics on a Permanent Wholetime basis.
The School seeks a highly motivated candidate who will play a key role in the academic direction of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the School including teaching, academic assessment and academic administration. The successful candidate will be required to teach across programmes in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition. In addition to teaching, the role will involve curriculum development, development of online teaching resources, programme management and administration, and pastoral care of students. The successful candidate will be required to teach across a range of topics relevant to human nutrition, dietetics, adult and infant nutrition and practice education. In addition the candidate will require knowledge of the standards of proficiency required for registration as a Dietitian with CORU, the Health and Social Care Professionals Regulator.
Experience in the delivery of e-learning and the use of virtual learning environments and/or education management systems such as Brightspace is desirable.
The successful candidate will be required to contribute to postgraduate education and research in the University. A track record of professional, research and scholarly activities, which will support the research and scholarly activities of the School of Biological and Health Sciences is required.
The successful candidate will require to be flexible and work on their own initiative as well as contributing to a team of professionals. The School is seeking an enthusiastic team player with the ability to network with colleagues and other stakeholders. Communication with students is particularly important.
