Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician- Full Time, Permanent Location : Kildare Package Salary from EUR40,000 pa + Benefits Rhomberg Sersa Ireland specialises in the rail industry. A member of the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group (RSRG), we deliver track maintenance services to Irish Rail via the operation of On Track Machines (OTMs). There is ongoing and significant investment in new and modernised equipment to maintain the existing fleet in Ireland, and multiple opportunities as the company continues to grow. This is a key role within the business ensuring the fleet of On Track Machines (OTM’s) that are maintained by us for our client, Irish Rail, are maintained to the manufacturers VMIs. Responsibilities Maintain OTMs to Manufacturers Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI). Be proficient in, and carry out as required the fault finding and subsequent repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic systems associated with the OTM fleet. Lead and mentor all trainee Workshop Field Technicians. Be capable of working on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical systems. Carry out the planned maintenance in accordance with the relevant maintenance plan. Ensure you have a clear understanding of your standards and policies set down by your line manager. Ensure regular communication between yourself and your line manager. Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and proper manner in accordance with our Safety Management System. Make a positive contribution to a small dedicated team. Have a flexible approach to work, being prepared to work around a roster that includes some weekends, bank holidays, night work. What you’ll need to succeed Time served qualification in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline Successful completion of the recognised apprenticeship Ability to work to timescales / deadlines Strong aptitude and competency for electrical/electronic/PLC fault finding Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Hold a full, clean current Irish driving licence Computer proficiency Desired: Qualified Trainer/AssessorWhat we offer Rhomberg Sersa Ireland is committed to the personal development of all employees.
