IFTA is a not for profit all-Ireland organisation with a membership of 1,300 Irish industry professionals. The Academy works to celebrate, honour and promote the achievements and growth of Irish creative talent by identifying and plaforming excellence, while nurturing new talent in front and behind the camera, while enabling learning and creative collaboration.
In addition to our Awards ceremonies (19 Award Ceremonies produced), we have a year-round programme of learning events and initiatives that offer unique access to some of the world’s most inspiring talent, through workshops, masterclasses, lectures, discussions, workshops and mentoring programmes in Ireland (Over 500 events – including Martin Scorsese, Michael Moore, Sharon Horgan, Liam Neeson, Daisy Ridley).
Creating digital media clip/assets for IFTA promotional platforms/channels including social media platforms, newsletters, websites etc.
Editing Video & Imagery/graphics and promos for website and online media and screen discussion presentations and for social posts (Tweeting, Instagram Stories, Facebook live, video streaming etc)
Scheduling and publishing content to reach target audiences using in-house publishing tools;
Updating Images & content on Website and newsletters.
Working closely with the IFTA team across platforms with a focus on building audience engagement.
Contributing to content discussions for platforms including websites, newsletters and promotional campaigns.
Have a 3rd Level Degree in Multimedia/Web Design/Digital Development or equivalent.
Have at least 1 year experience working (full time or part-time) in Multimedia across content producion for web, online and social media platforms.
Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver etc) and at least one video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Premier Pro.
Demonstrate a good creative eye with a confident visual flair.
Have a good understanding of general web-coding software such as HTML.
Produce visual content and evaluate its success across multiple platforms (experience working with tracking and analytics tools is an advantage).
Be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
Be a Team player with ability to collaborate with the IFTA team and PR/marketing executive.
Have the ability to work remotely and/or in the Dublin office base when required.
Experience in and knowledge of the film and TV industry is advantageous but not necessary. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills and experience across this specialised industry and within the Irish film and television industry’s leading independent Website and online resource.
