Reporting to the Technical manager, the Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for maintaining the quality and HACCP systems, to ensure they are followed in the factory at all times. They will assist in the implementation and continual development of a robust QA system that meets all legal requirements, customer requirements and the needs of the business. They must work in conjunction with all relevant Departmental managers and teams.
In addition to this you will complete :
Daily GMP audits, glass audits and in house calibrations
Daily equipment verification checks of probes, and other equipment
Pre operational hygiene checks
Carry out product quality checks including meat inspection checks
Complete, check and maintain all due diligence production quality records
Monthly fabrication audits
Micro Sampling and swabbing
Conduct Internal system audits
Training of production staff on quality procedures where required
Assist in factory trials of new products and first productions
Assist in preparation of all external audits, BRC, Bord Bia and customer audits
Previous experience (at least one year) preferable in a quality control role (food production environment)
Fluent written & spoken English
Excellent communication, decision making and team skills
Good IT skills
